Took a drive this afternoon from Aurora to the veg/carrot fields of the Holland
Marsh and then along the shoreline of Cook's Bay (Lake Sincoe) to Jackson's
Point and back to Aurora.

Following Bruce Di Labio's report of Snow Geese yesterday on the Riceville
floodplain north of St. Isidore, the number of Snows mushroomed today. I
had about 125,000 in three flocks but all within a relatively close area.
This is the largest 'inland' flock we've had and much larger than normal
Looking out from our cottage on Pigeon Lake today, across and south of
Flood's Landing, we could see several waterfowl and others, including many
Canada Geese, Tundra Swans, , Northern Pintails, Buffleheads, Lesser Scaup,
common Goldeneye, Ring-necked Ducks, American Widgeons, Wood Ducks, common
Grimsby, ON - Beamer Conservation Area
