A sensational find highlighted the week. A WHITE-WINGED DOVE, the first
record for the 50K, showed up in the Urbandale area of Otta
On Sunday, May 27, 5 birders joined the OFO trip to Skunk's Misery (located
in southwestern Middlesex County). I think the weather on the day was a
little too nice and as a result, bird song was already diminished by the
time we hit the forest. We still managed to get great looks at Hooded
Warbler
There is a Tricolored heron in cell 1 at Tommy Thompson Park (aka The
Leslie Street Spit). It's on one of the islands closer to cell 2, with a
lot of upright logs on it. Almost in the centre of cell 1, where there are
some nesting trumpeters.

On Wednesday May 30, 2018, we found a pair of peregrine falcons flying around
the Halton HealthCare (New Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial) Hospital as well as the
nearby residential neighbourhood.
When we left the hospital at 7:30pm, the birds were roosting on (female) and
around (male) the blue "H"
Glossy ibis seen may 29 ,& 30 1622 concession 8 in flooded fields West side of
house. This consession 8 is located near McGregor P Park between j/l line and
Range Road. In the company of ganada geese.
