Here is the short video of the Western Tanager found today by Reuven M. and
Samreen M. at rattray Marsh.It was seen until dusk today. It should be there
tomorrow for those that have yet to see it.

We had a total of 10 people that met at 0830 to do some Fall Birding .
The rain was Light and stopped within half Hour. It was nice till the last Hour. The
Rain started again. By then we had a Total Of 80 Species for the day.
I was early and there is a small water hole at the ba
greeting birders to the south we have recently been seeing large numbers
of common redpolls in the area our banding station has banded 91 which is
unheard of at this time of the year. We have currently banded over 2000
pine siskins which must be showing up in southern Ontario by now. In

At 9:50 this morning, I heard and then saw an EVENING GROSBEAK fly over Komoka
Provincial Park, heading northwest. I'm familiar with their calls, as they were
a yard bird when I lived in BC, so I first heard this bird coming, calling its
loud trilled notes as it flew past, then saw the bold whi
There is an evening grosbeak at our bird feeder in Cambridge. First one we’ve
ever seen here.
Also lots of pine siskins, white and rose breasted nuthatches, downy, hairy and
red bellied woodpeckers, juncos, blue jays, cardinals.
Location is Blenheim Road in Cambridge, ON.

Kiskadee was active again this morning in same spots. Was in ditch along
marsh path and then flew to trees near houses, 3rd and 4th houses fro lot.

Present in the same area for a while now, took a while but now confident in
ID. Found by Samreen Munim.
Park on adjacent streets at south end of Silver Birch Trail. Turn left on
trail and go to first boardwalk.
Also a White-eyed Vireo at Jack Darling Park just to the east, near the
second parking

Just now looking at the Evening Grosbeak at my sunflower seed feeder in my
yard, presumably the same bird seen here a couple of days ago.
Directions: From Hwy 7 (Guelph Street) in Georgetown, take Mountainview Road
north for about 3 km. About 200 metres after the intersection with Preston’s
