Hi everyone,
The Blenheim CBC was held on December 16. Balmy conditions and calm weather
made for a slow day but the count ended up with 114 species which is the second
highest ever, although we've been over this number 3 times. A quick rundown of
the hi-lights follows.

very close to shore by the rotunda at the foot of King at Delater street. The
RTLO is even closer and it’s just off the south jetty of the NOTL sailing club.

Hello Ontbirders,
The 85th Woodstock Christmas Bird Count was held 22 December 2018. The
weather was suboptimal with 40-50kph winds. Almost all water was open but
had been frozen earlier in the winter. The food crop was poor with very few
tree seeds and berries.
Despite the challenging
The previously reported Wild Turkey continues in the same general
Garrison Creek neighborhood. It seems to be more active at dawn but
disappears behind lane way fences and garages as the day progresses. I
found it immediately upon reaching the intersection of Grace and Harbord
at 8am today.
Seeing one flying around here, hard to spot except when in flight, hides well.
Could be more than one here as many are at this location during breeding and
migration times.

between Main and Chapel Streets. They are located in the crabapple tree in

Restaurant house on the west side of Chapel Street.
