A Western Grebe was seen and photographed off Whimbrel Point at 5:30
pm. It was swimming diving at times relatively close to shore but
after each dive moving progressively further east until it was out of
site 30 minutes later. Spotted by Ani Kuk and seen by Peter Sproule,
Marsh Duggan and I at
Whimbrel continuing at the quarry as of 2:30 today. Seen by three birders
here.

Dave Smyr correctly identified from photos the Godwit as Marbled not
Hudsonian as it had been originally identified.
Stayner Sewage Lagoon is located in Stayner at Highway 26 near Wasaga
Beach. Turn north on Mowat St.then left to Eco Park.
