. The first time we saw
it, it flew across Mississauga Road from the west and landed on the same hill
right around the same time.

ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial
birding
1000 Canada Geese in the field as well as a
few northern pintail, mallards, killdeer, etc.
Directions from 401 - head north on Winston Churchill, head west on Steeles,
north on Ninth Line to 10 Sideroad, turn right to find parking on 10 Sideroad
or to get to street leading into subdivision.
Great Horned Owl observed around 2:30pm in pines on south side of Thickson
Woods.
Directions: Thickson Road South off 401 at Whitby, turn left into Thickson
Woods and head south on the trail which is located midway down the road.

While nearing the Georgetown GO Station around 7:30 am on January 23, a mature
bald eagle soared slowly above the parking lot just above the houses in the
area. I was surprised at how low it was flying but it seemed to be soaring up
from the valley in Glen Williams.
