Birders,

Another useful map for Pte. Mouillee showing distances between dike junctions and parking areas can be found here:

http://www.esba-monroe.org/pt%20mouillee%20map.html

This is based on the map we published in A Birder's Guide to Michigan. Many birders bike around Mouillee but some still walk.

The shortest route to the NW corner of Cell 3 is from the Roberts Road entrance (2.2 miles) contrary to the recent local posting that the Mouillee Creek parking area (3.2 miles) is closer.

Sunscreen, water, snacks, and perhaps even rain gear would be helpful to bring with you on the walk/bike out and back...

Good news, folks. The WHITE WAGTAIL was refound yesterday at Pt Mouillee
SGA. Which is better news than the weather forecast for this weekend.
Thanks for the update, Michael. Again, anyone going to look for the bird, it
is a VERY long walk in and back so be prepared. As well, I have included a
link to a map of the area courtesy of Jerry Jourdan.

Good luck, good birding and stay dry this weekend.
