From Hwy 118 at lights in Haliburton, continue along Highland St, past LCBO,
across bridge. Turn right on Riverside Dr. Bird is visible on ice in river
75m upstream from Highland St.

Today, around 12:30pm, my daughter Tamara and I found a female Ruddy Duck at
Moore Falls. The bird was with a female Hooded Merganser, on the south side of
Hwy 35, about 100m along the E shore. There was also a female Wood Duck at
this location (upstream of the bridge though) on December 29, b
Almost all the gulls have cleared out of Haliburton with the recent snow and
ice. That said, I visited the Haliburton dump late this morning and found only
white-winged gulls present! There were three 1st winter Glaucous Gulls, and a
single 1st winter Kumliens Gull present. All the Herrings a
