Two red-neck phalaropes were spotted by Brian Morin, Dave Kaddie and myself
swimming in the eastern cell at the Alfred Lagoons this evening at 6PM. These
were adults in winter plumage. To get to the Lagoons go east from Alfred on
Peat Moss Rd. The Lagoons are about one kilometer south on the lef

Hi Birders, Hans VanderZweep and I observed a peregrine falcon yesterday on
Pemberton RD. about 1 km. south from Highway 31. Take highway 31 to Winchester
and go south on Pemberton Rd. A large female peregrine was on a pile of roots
and branches off the west side of the road. good birding, Bob

Lagoons yesterday. We observed 3 short-billed dowagers, 6 greater yellowlegs,
12 semi-palmated sandpipers,10 spotted sandpipers and a half dozen killdeer.

This evening, about 6:30 PM, Hans VanderZweep and I saw several shorebirds
along the north and west sides of the east cell in the Alfred Lagoons. We had 2
short-billed dowagers, 4 semi-palmated sandpipers,one Wilson.s snipe and 6
spotted sandpipers along with a good variety of ducks and duckling
