This morning at approximately 9 am, Bill Maddeford and I found a Summer Tanager at Skunk's Misery, southwest of London. The bird was seen on Sassafras Road, just southeast of the intersection with Trillium Drive. It was a first spring male with dull yellow plumage blotched with red on the head and breast. >From Longwoods Road, turn northwest onto Sassafras Road (right if travelling >from London) and drive approximately one kilometre. The tanager was seen and >heard calling in the forest on the right. Good birding, David ScottLondon, ON _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
