Seen from the viewing stand looking over the bay - at least one Little Gull
with half a dozen Bonaparte's. Very obvious dark underwings with white tips,
smaller than nearby Bonaparte's Gulls.
ID'd through binos but confirmed in the scope.

and one Turkey Vulture circling north of 401, heading eastish.
Seen shortly after noon.
Look anywhere east of Thickson's Rd, north of 401.

The park is at the foot of Maple St which is west of Lakeshore & Mississauga
Rd. Turn south off of Lakeshore immediately west of the large excavation.

3:45 pm Monday March 11 2019. There is flock of a couple hundred waterfowl in
a wet field on Mersea Rd B immediately west of the Leamington airport.
The most obvious birds are Tundra Swans and Canada Geese. With a scope I could
pick out Mallards, Redheads, Pintails, and 6 or 7 Greater
The birds are on Mersea 1, the extension of Seacliffe Drive. Sorry.

There is an adult Bald Eagle picking at the carcass of an unknown creature in
the middle of Reesor Pond. The pond is completely iced iced over; there are no
ducks or geese in sight.
Reesor Pond is in eastern Markham at the corner of Reesor Rd and Hwy 7, just
north of the 407.

Eight American Golden Plovers were seen in a muddy field on the 11th line near
regional road 10 (Tottenham Rd.) at approx. 2:30 pm, in the rain. They were in

Flats Rd between the parking areas.
On east side of K-W. Take hwy 7 westbound from Guelph to Ebycrest, then
Ebycrest North to Snyders Flats Rd. Drive to end.

At approx. 6:20 pm we saw one Chimney Swift from our balcony, borne on the SW
winds about 20 min before the thunderstorm hit. We have only lived here for 4
years, but we usually see our first Swifts in the first few days of May.
We are in a building at the southeast corner of the 401 and Yonge
From approx. 7:30 to 8:00 I observed the juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron
in Col. Sam Smith Park, Etobicoke. The bird was perched in plain view, in a
patch of sunlight, on the east side of the island in the small pond.
The adult Black-crowned Night Heron and a perching Great Blue Heron were

across from and a little north of the viewing platform. It was right beside
and occasionally hiding behind an old tire.
