I'm parked at the barriers closing flooded Johnston Rd., immediately south of
Russell Rd.
There are approx. 5000 snow geese in the flooded fields to the south of Russell
Rd., on each side of Johnston Rd.
Also, in 20 minutes of viewing time, another flock of thousands of snow geese
took off from fields north west of this position to join the flocks along
Johnston Rd.

Directions: From Ottawa, travel east on hwy 417 then exit on Anderson rd. Go
north to Russell road and turn east. Travel for 36 km, turn off at Johnston rd.
and park at the barriers.
