Hello Birders,
There has been a juvenile Peregrine in Smiths Falls sitting on the water tower
since yesterday afternoon (Aug 25). This morning he was plucking the feathers
off his recently caught breakfast (unknown what but there is an unhappy
sounding family of crows). Still there at 3:30.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Town of Smiths Falls (near Ottawa)
decided to purchase a pair (m+f) of Bewick's Swans to hopefully keep the geese
away from the canal/campground/park area in town. They initially said they

Hi Gang,
As I was scanning through the 10,000+ CAGE looking for a Cackling (no luck),
approximately 1000 snow geese flew in and landed in the river. This was on
Rainbow Valley Road, across the Rideau from Edmonds Lockstation.

I saw a prairie warbler this morning at 10:45 on an unassumed road just off the
Victoria Rail Trail in Bethany, Kawartha Lakes.
It flew onto a low open branch after having just obviously had a bath. Sat
