Peregrine Falcon sited in downtown Pontiac,Michigan. This appears to be
the same male seen last year that took up residence with his sweetie. First
seen this year yesterday and perching at the exact same place where he
spent much of last year. It is very likely that this is the same bird.

A small group of five Long-tailed Ducks were bobbing up and down in the
choppy water on the channel between Algonac, MI and Walpole Island First
Nation.
The ducks remained near the landing on the American side throughout the day.
When the ferry got near, they would move several
Holiday Beach Migration Observatory (HBMO) banded a record late
Ruby-throated Hummingbird for our banding station today. It was a hatch-year,
male who
was healthy and rather plump. He had a fat score of 5 on a 0-7 fat scale used
by banders. His weight was 4.2 grams. HBMO is located at t

rough-legged Hawks hunting in the fields off Highway 3 heading to Pelee from
Windsor.
