Ian Woodfield pointed out the female King Eider to me Tuesday
afternoon and my unconfirmed sighting of the B.L. Kittiwake was
confirmed between 4 & 4:30 PM when Bob Reid spotted it not far from
shore. Both birds were seen from the public river access adjacent to
the Marina's main boat lau
Sorry for all the confusion. The birds were at the SW corner of Mersea
Rd. 12 and the 2nd concession (Oak Street) east out of Leamington, on
the recently opened soccer fields. Road 12 crosses Talbot (old Hwy.3)
at Williams nursery.

Today between 6:15 and 6:54 PM at the "Leamington Soccer Complex" ,
there were 37 A. Golden Plovers, two Buff-breasted sandpipers, 11
Killdeer and a 120 Starlings. Last Sunday during the same time period,

Dear Ontbirds:
Since Sunday the Spotted Towhee has been feeding at or to the east
of the 42 latitude sign just south of the Tip gazebo in Pt. Pelee N.P.
I saw it 4' off the trail that leads to the east beach from the 42
latitude sign at 11:30AM on Wednesday. With it was an eastern
Rufous-
From noon until 1PM I watched a Red Phalarope feeding in the main
channel of Wheatley Harbour. It stayed in the breakwall indentation on
the east side; south of the Olmstead buildings. Easily viewed from
Harbourmaster's buiding on west side of channel.
NOTE: 100+ Ruddy Ducks in southeas
