The Cattle Egret was present this afternoon about 3pm opposite 315 Huff
Road. It was gleaning imsects off resting white cattle. It briefly took
flight with a flock of Starlings but soon returned.
Directions: Travel 1.6 km west of Brighton on Highway 2 and turn left
(south) on Huff Road. Cattle
In last post direction should have read 1.5 km west of Cardinal to reach
Galop Canal Road.

The female King Eider is still present on the St. Lawrence River east of
Cardinal as of 1 p.m. today. It can be viewed from the end of Galop Canal
Road 1.5 km east of Cardinal along Highway 2. Turn left on Galop Canal
Road and proceed to parking lot at the end. Walk to the river. The bird
flies
After Iain Wilkes's report of migrating Common Nighthawks in Arnprior, I
went out in my front yard and observed 10 Common Nighthawks overhead
migrating southwest from 8:00 - 8:15 p.m.
