I saw a group of 16 Turkey Vultures in that same location Jan 2nd from the
403 looking north. Probably the same bunch.
I thought that group was well known so I did not post. I am pretty sure we

I believe he is one of the uncommon resident breeders in the HSA. (Bob

We usually get a pair during the CBC. Of interest, there are very few
conifers nearby.

Yesterday at 0755 hrs I was at the 403/401 junction SE of Woodstock and saw
what must have been at least 200 crows North of the highway. The sky
contained this immense black cloud. I've never so many in one place.

Dave Moffatt and I revisited the townsend lagoons yesterday. The cattle
egrets were not present. However, we got spectacular views of an American
avocet in flight as it was being hunted by a northern harrier.
We also saw the white rumpled sandpiper, about six Dunlin, greater and
