We have a female rose breasted grosbeak at our feeder in Huntsville. She
appeared 4 days ago during the snow storm. She's feeding a lot and just
hanging out with the other birds, juncos, mourning doves, blue jays, chickadees
and so on. Any ideas about her survival rate? Back channel
Hello,
A small crow landed in my backyard June 29, it was feeding with the American
crows. My searches have led me to identifying it as a fish crow, has anyone
encountered this bird in this area previously? I am just east of Huntsville -
hwy 60 and canal road (next to Deerhurst Resort).
On Sunday at 1100h we saw about 25 Sandhill Cranes flying in a south-east arc
over the Dundas Valley Conservation Area. We were at the west side of the DVCA
on Martin's Road. Their presence was preceded by their bugling (?) It was
quite the sight through the fog.
