The three White Pelicans just flew over the Island Road from East to West
(about 2 km North of 7A) --flying low and dropping down below trees towards the
water on the West side of the Island. Birds should be viisible on Lake Scugog
water from the west shore about 2 km North of Port Perry.

some Snows an hour ago but must have relocated with hundreds of Canadas which

At approximately 8:50 a.m. I viewed a female Common Eider Flying West about 50
yards off shore . The bird veered to the Southwest as it approached the point
and was watched by scope as it continued Southwest eventually falling out of
view as it fell below horizon and lake chop.

Over beach West of boat house at Darlington ParK Bruce Aikins and I (Stu
Williams) observed a small flock of seven Whimbrel circle our location several
times at about 60 feet altitude. One of the whimbrel displayed the upper
white rump which descended into the whitish tail , characteristic of
Three Red-throated Loons (2 breeding plumage, 1 non-breeding). Half mile out in
bay off 1st observation location of Owen Point Trail.

Thick-billed kingbird now at tip of penninsula at parking lot on water near
calf pasture. Walk pebble beach on North side of penn. For 150 yds. Bird in
tree tops over water and out of wind. Look for pewee activity. 6:30 pm Thursday.
