First thing this morning, I got my first Hummingbird ( male ) of the season. He
stuck around all day.

Today I had a few new visitors to my feeders. A male Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a
male Baltimore Oriole, but the big surprise was a "Brown Thrasher".

There are some male and female Northern Shovellers just a wee bit east of Big
Creek on county road 20 (not far from Holiday Beach), outside Amherstburg.

This week I had the pleasure of seeing my first Northern Mockingbird
... right in my front yard on Rivervilla Crt. It was on my suet feeder
in the tree in the front yard. I did manage to get a few shots of it before it
flew off.

The lone male Wood Duck is still out at Lakeview Marina on Riverside Drive at
Riverdale. He was still there today amongst many Mallards. We managed to get
lots of photos as we threw corn out to them along the dock.

photographing birds at my feeders. Unfortunately I have yet to get one of him.
The first time would have been perfect since he wasn't to high, just above the
tree tops (but my camera was inside) and the second time he was a bit far out
for a good shot.
