The 37th Dunrobin-Breckenridge CBC took place on December 30,2017. A total of
43 species were recorded by 50 field observers. Due to the frigid weather this
is below the count average of 50 species. A total of 4,612 individuals were
recorded. The record high is 12,884 in 1985/86.

Woods" I located the elusive Boreal Owl in the southwest section of the Jack

Birded Amherst Island today. Despite the -20 C temperature this morning,
birding was good. Due to snow conditions,we parked along the South Shore
Road and walked in to the "Owl Woods". We observed 5 Northern Saw-whet Owls
and 6 Long-eared Owls. On our walk out we observed one Northe

Spent the weekend birding Presqu'ile P.P.. Overall it was a interesting
weekend. On September 27th had a good movement of land birds during the
afternoon, 17 species of warblers were observed around the lighthouse area

The Mottled Duck was still present at Hillmans Marsh in the shorebird and
waterfowl habitat between 2:00pm-3:00pm, just before the heavy rains!. It

Today, May 4th my son Ben and I birded the Chaffeys Lock area, Presqu'ile
and Rondeau enroute to Pelee. There was a noticeable increase in bird
activity at Chaffeys Lock since my visit Thursday including 1 Cerulean , 5
Golden-winged Warbler, 3 Yellow-throated Vireo, 4 Blue-gray
