Birding in Thickson's Woods on May 21 was limited primarily to the roadside
and north peripheral trees. 3 people reported seeing a Loiusiana Waterthrush
near the beaver pond. Other warbler highlights--- Cape May, Mourning,
Canada, Wilson's, Blackpoll, Bay-breasted and Tennessee, along with the
other "usuals". Vireos included Red-eyed, Philadelphia, Warbling, and
Blue-headed.
The trees, alas, are filling in with leaves, but, patience rewards people
with good birding.
On Tueasday I transfer my botanizing and birding to the Bruce Peninsula for
a week. I do hope someone finds a Hooded and Connecticut in Thickson's.

Exit 401 at Thickson's Rd. (in Whitby), south toward the lakefront, turning
left at the roadside that parallels the pine woods on your left.
