Hello Ontbirds people, Today Sept.18, between 11:15 and 12:15, a juvenile Parasitic Jaeger (no doubt the same bird reported yesterday) was seen AGAIN. It was spotted by Bernie Ladouceur and seen by many observers including yours truly, flying over the Ottawa River, harrassing Ring-billed and Herring Gulls. It rested on the water frequently but flew several times, offering excellent views. It's been a long time since a jaeger in Ottawa has been present in the same location for more than one day!
Also at Shirley's Bay this morning a juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher was found by Bruce DiLabio and was seen by many observers, between the two islands along the causeway. Good birding!
