While driving north on Highway 11 yesterday, December 19, at 3:31pm, I saw a bald eagle fly east to west over the highway. The location was just south of Proudfoot Lane, so perhaps it was scavenging at the landfill located east of the highway. Local birders may wish to check the dump regularly. The spot is almost exactly halfway between Trout Creek and Powassan.
