The Barnacle Goose is present in the Tristan ponds in Schomberg now at
9:55am. Took off once in last 30 minutes but came back.

At 7:00 pm this evening there were perhaps a couple of dozen geese on the
pond at the Trisan Centre; same at 7:45 pm. But in the next 10 or 15
minutes hundreds arrived, and although the Barnacle was not seen arriving
we were able to pick it out on the water while there was (barely) enough
light. In fact, when it faced east it was quite hard to pick out, but when
it faced into the still reasonably bright western sky it showed quite well.

Directions: Once at Schomberg, Dillane Dr. is about 600 m south of Hwy. 9,
off Hwy. 27. Follow Dillane Dr. east around the curve, for about 450 m.
Turn east into the Trisan Centre parking lot. The pond can be clearly
viewed from the viewing platform at the east end of the parking lot.

The goose is continuing as of 2:50pm in the pond at 6665 19th Sideroad,
Schomberg. Currently not in view as it is hugging the bank closest to the
