Ontbirders
Just in case it was missed, Ron Tozer's long awaited Birds of Algonquin
Park has just been been published by The Friends of Algonquin Park.
Please see the following for details:
http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca/news/2012-04-21_birds_of
_algonquin_park_released.php.
Sources believe this book is special, it describes birdlife in Algonquin
Park and includes all 278 bird species known to have occurred in park.
It is an important addition to bird study in the province.
I'm stating the obvious here but anyone who is or has been an OFO
member, read Ontario Birds, visited Algonquin or attended an OFO AGM has
benefited in many ways from Ron's wisdom and support.
Ron donated the manuscript to the Friends of Algonquin Park, a
not-for-profit registered charity, so that proceeds from the book will
go to supporting educational and interpretive programs at the park.
