Not much going on at Andrew Haydon Park this morning. There were 3 Scaup in the
western most pond earlier.
One Brant feeding on the grass near the western most pond. If you see it in
the pond, more than likely someone had just walked by with their dog. The
Brant is back up on the grass

Worked all day so not much birding to be done. However, on the way
home saw a Brant feeding on the grass on the south side of Riverside a bit
before Data Road and the Billings Bridge Plaza. Of course I couldn't look
around to see if there were more than one. May be worth checking ou

there and can be easily seen feeding along with the geese. Thanks.

MALLARDS and a few RING-BILLED GULLS right along the shore. This brant is
probably the same one reported by Alex Stone two days ago. The only other

Yesterday (July 10th), at around 3pm, there was a Brant grazing on the lawn and
started to swim away from me in one of the ponds nearest the river at Andrew
Haydon Park - Ottawa. I was very surprised to see it, my third
time seeing Brant in Ontario! Also, at Brittania, I saw Spot
A flock of 100-150 Brant was flying up the Ottawa River this morning in
a strange zigzag fashion. It looked like they might come down but then
decided to keep going. Worth keeping an eye out for them in case they do
land. I spotted them around 9:15 just west of the Champlain Bridge.

The single bird mentioned yesterday was at the same location this
morning, namely on the lawn next to the road that leads to the Remic
Rapids parking lot. I'm assuming it's the same bird. However, not far
away in the water by the shore was a flock of some 400 Brant, presumably
resting and waiting f
