Six weeks after the first egg was observed we have a young grebe in Bronte
Harbour. I did not get an egg count today but there were 7 on June 11. There is
another grebe nest in Bronte Creek upstream from Lakeshore Road.

There are about 3 dozen easily observed Cliff Swallow nests on the east side of
the Compass Restaurant.

Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Rd. (Oakville) and go to the lake and turn
left on Ontario – your only option. The grebe nest is just east of the Compass
Restaurant on a floating tire that has been completely covered in vegetation.
It is very easily visible from the walkway.
