The long-staying Cattle Egret continues at Colonel Samuel Smith Park in 
Toronto.  This afternoon it was flushed from the peninsula east of Whimbrel 
Point and flew to the grasses at the base of Whimbrel Point.  Whimbrel Point is 
identified by having a telephone pole on it.


Directions.  From the QEW/Gardiner Expressway, exit southbound on Kipling Ave.  
Continue as far south as you can go to the (free) parking lot.  Walk from the 
south end of Kipling Ave south towards the lake.  Whimbrel Point will be the 
first large peninsula to your right (west). Look for the telephone pole (it's 
the only one out there).
