An update from the Rondeau area:

A CATTLE EGRET was at the SE corner of Bisnett Line and Erieau Rd. around noon today (Sunday). This is the same horse pasture one was at in early May.

The WHITE-EYED VIREO reported on last weekend is still at McGeachy Pond on the main dike. (the latest date for Rondeau is Nov. 24).

The WILSON'S PHALAROPE is still at Blenheim S. L., usually in Pond 1.
I also saw 3 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS fly over and appear to land in Pond 5, but a Harrier spooked everything before I could get a look. Also 2 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS in Pond 5 with over 50 Dunlin.

At Rondeau Park, a RED-EYED VIREO is hanging around post 7 on South Point Trail. It is a late record for the park, but not the Rondeau Birding Area.

A BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was also along South Point Trail just before post 7. It was found yesterday and was still there this morning.

Directions to Erieau: The port of Erieau is located south of Blenheim.
West out of Blenheim on Talbot Trail (Rd. 3), turn left onto (Erieau Rd.)
Rd. 12 and follow to village. The pier area is found by continuing through
the village and turning right at the restaurant intersection. McGeachy Pond is at the curve just before the village.

Lagoon Directions: Exit 401 at #90 (Communications Rd.) and head into
Blenheim. At the main stoplight turn right (west) onto Rd. 3. Travel about
1.5 km and turn right (north) onto Lagoon Rd. at the carwash, and continue
north about 1 km to gate. You must have an annual permit to enter.
