On August 16, 2018, the well-known Ontario birder, Clive Goodwin, passed
away quietly in a seniors' home in Cobourg. His death follows a long
illness after a serious stroke last year. His death will be particularly
lamented by his fellow Northumberland birders and all the older generation
of Ontario birders.
He is survived by his wife, Joy, and many nieces and nephews.
Among his many honours, he was the OFO 2014 Distinguished Ornithologist.
His accomplishments are detailed in the December 2014 issue of Ontario
Birds.
