8:50 pm today - I was reading on the deck when a strange "peent
peent" finally penetrated my consciousness... I looked up in time to
see two Common Nighthawks at altitude, heading north. There may have
been one or two more, judging from the calls.
My house is near the intersection of Yonge St. and the 401, in Toronto.
