Merry Christmas All, After spending Christmas morning at my brother-in-law's, my wife and I stopped at the feeders near the entrance to St. Johns Conservation Area. A number of species were visiting the feeders including a male Eastern Towhee. The feeders can be seen from St. John St. Bob Highcock and Jean Hampson St. Catharines, ON Directions: Heading south from St. Catharines on Hwy. 406, exit at Regional Rd 20 (Hwy. 20). Head west into Fonthill. Turn right at Pelham St. After approximately 1 km, Pelham St. becomes Hollow Rd at the curve. Continue along Hollow Rd until you reach the yield sign at the intersection of Hollow Rd, Barron Rd and St. John St. The entrance to St. John's Conservation Area is straight ahead and the feeders are to the left of the white house. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
