Hi Everyone
Birded a number of the eastern sewage lagoons today August 1, 2010. Overall,
there was only a small number of shorebirds mainly at Alfred and Casselman with
12 juv. Least Sandpiper and 3 juv. Lesser Yellowlegs( first for the fall). The
Alfred Sewage lagoon had a good variety of ducks including 60+ Ruddy Ducks (3
family groups) 1 Redhead family with 7 downy young, numerous American Coot
families, 1 Common Moorhen family and 1 juv. Bonaparte's Gull. At Embrun, 1
family of Ruddy Ducks was observed, 1 female with 5 downy young. and 2 adult
Bonaparte's Gull were observed. Both Sora and Virginia Rails were heard
calling at various lagoons. In the hay fields just south of Alfred 100+
Bobolinks were seen. If you require additional information, please email me
privately.

Good birding, Bruce and Ben
