Today I had one FISH CROW over Shell Park in Oakville at around 1pm. The bird called (double-note) about eight times while mobbing a passing Red-tailed Hawk.
Later, I noted a pair of crows perching in the confierous trees across the street from the park. They did not vocalize, but it might be a good idea to keep an ear out for them as possible Fish Crows if in the area. Chris Burris Waterloo Shell Park is located on Lakeshore Road in between Burloak and Bronte Road in Oakville. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
