Hey Birders,

Haven't really seen many posts from today, so I thought I'd share some
sightings from the aforementioned locations. Brandon Holden, Peter Burke, Dave
Don, Ross Wood, Barb Charlton and I toured these two spots before splitting up
at 3:30pm.

Fifty Point Road - we arrived at 8am, staying until noon watching the lake
Pomarine Jaeger - 1 subadult (Hurricane waif?) at 10:18 moving west, 1 dark juv
moving west @ 11:16am
Jaeger sp. - 1 bird too far @ 11:30am
Forster's Tern - 1 first-basic moving west (same bird reported earlier @
Hutch's) @ 10:59am
Phalarope sp - 2 seen moving west distant, landed on the lake, likely Red's
(based on time of year)
Brant - groups of 1 and 10 seen off the lake
Red-throated Loon - several

Waverly Beach, Fort Erie - we got here at 1pm, staying until 3:30pm
Little Gull - 1 adult seen at 2:22pm
Forster's Tern - 1 first-basic at 2pm
Red-throated Loon - 1

After this, Brandon and I birded the Niagara River pretty quickly. We stopped
at several spots, however at the Control Gates we saw a group of Northern
Rough-winged Swallows, and 1 Cliff/Cave Swallow (all we could really see was
that it had a distinct orange rump). There was also 2 Brant at
Niagara-on-the-Lake.

For directions, please email me/google the locations.

Cheers,
Ken Burrell
