With medium NW winds, rising BP and light thermals as many as 12 observers thoroughly enjoyed spotting raptors coming in high and low on several flyways over a period of 5 hours,
interrupted by a brief shower.

During the first hour we had great views of a very dark morph adult Red-tailed Hawk. Then, at 10:40 a bird we all wait for arrived with all of its splendour--a 1st yr. GOLDEN
EAGLE took 10 minutes to glide over our heads.

The 161 migrating raptors-- 10 Turkey Vultures, 4 male N.Harriers, 21 Sharp-shinneds,
5 Cooper's, 2 N.GOSHAWKS, 2 RED-SHOULDEREDS, 110 RED-TAILEDS,
3 ROUGH-LEGGEDS, 1 GOLDEN EAGLE, 1 Am.Kestrel, 2 Peregrines.
----SEE TABLE BELOW.

We did not spend much time looking at non-raptors. They included female PURPLE
FINCH, 2 FOX SPARROWS.
