Hi again: I received a report of a Great Gray Owl sighting from Marc Gravel. He said, "Just wanted to report a GGO along the median heading west towards carleton place right after the on ramp to hwy 7 from 417 before hazeldean/stittsville exit. It was hunting and was on prey when i drove passed him."
I did not see the owl myself so cannot vouch for it. It may be worth checking out if you are in the area. Thanks. W. Halfway between the ramp and the next exit (Hazeldean/Stittsville) on Hwy 7 was the GGO in the median. As I came round off the ramp it was the first thing I noticed further down on the left.
