At 7:30 am I arrived back at Carp Rd just south of the town to see if I could get the White-fronted that I missed last night as I left before they returned at the end of the day. I was soon joined by two other birders staring at the hundreds of geese hundered down combined with the bitter wind making it rather challenging. Eventually one head was spotted in the main group on this side of the water. Using the arm waving technigue we were able to get a lot of the geese to at least put their heads up. There were four White-fronteds and two Snow geese. Good luck to anyone else - it just takes perseverence and lots of scanning iain CO DSBC(NC) _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
