Greetings Ont-Birders; Since the excitement the Painted Bunting stirred up
here things have been relatively quiet, until today that is. There has been
an Eastern Towhee and two White-throated Sparrows coming to my
feeder daily since the snow arrived but today the Towhee was late. I went in
search and was quite surprised when a Grey Catbird flew out of a euonymus
bush. A Catbird spent part of last winter here and I highly suspect this
is the same individual by the way it found the cut apple on the tray seconds
after I placed it. As I watched the Catbird I noticed another bird bobbing
its tail in the rose bush. Out popped a Hermit Thrush. The Towhee was found
a little farther back in the garden. These would be three great winter birds
to add to the Kincardine Christmas Bird Count which is only five days away.
What sweeter present could a birder wish.
 Merry Christmas to All

Directions;Kincardine is on the shores of lake Huron where highways 9 and 21
meet. I live at 28 Queen St north, Red brick house just north of the
Hospital sign. 28 is also the # on the 911 property marker. You can park in
the driveway and come to the" back "door, my parents live upstairs. Come
quietly because the feeders are close to the house. E-mails of your arrival
would be appreciated. Cheers James
