Weather: Still warm and sunny as it has been for the previous week. Winds changed direction and came in mainly from the east. Visibility was better today then it was for the past few days. Raptor Observations: Turkey Vultures came in nicely from Canada today with 5,303 seen throughout the day. Almost 2,000 where seen in one hour. The second bird of the day was a single Northern Goshawk, and three species of Falcons were seen today. A total of 5,479 of 12 species were counted. Non-raptor Observations: A Northern Mockingbird early in morning was an especially good find for this area. Predictions: I'm hopeful tomorrow will be a strong flight day with the continuing warm front, and Monday's cold front. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Greg Norwood (greg_norw...@fws.gov) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
