From Chris' previous report.
"It is almost always seen at the top of a deciduous tree within 100 metres of civic address
1261 Snake River Line, but across the road."

Subject: Hawk Owl (Perth area near Cobden)

Hi Ontbirders:

Took a drive out to the Perth area on friday, January 5th to see the Northern Hawk Owl first reported by Chris Michener. The owl was where Chris had reported it and was sitting on top of a pole when I saw it. The owl then flew to some trees. Looks like someone else may have refound the one reported last Sunday east of the Casselman area (I haven't seen it yet). On the subject of Hawk Owls, I believe there have been well over a dozen reported so far this winter in Quebec. Happy birding.
