Tonight, just before the storm hit at approx 8:30 we were driving on the road north of Hillman's Marsh - Mersea Rd 2 and Mersea Rd 21. An eagle flew over then a 2nd one, then we saw three more - followed them toward the lake, they were "frolicking" in the wind currents and saw all 5 several times playing over and around the last stand of trees before the first gravel road.
We saw 2 of the eagles touching talons, while the other 3 were playing on the wind currents. Sue & Dan Suess Oak street east out of Leamington, past entrance to Hillman's turn at first right - follow that road to the bridge, we saw the first eagle there, then further down the road #2, then 3 more - first gravel road on the right saw all of them playing several times. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
