Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers: Dan Loncke, Jim McCoy, Karen Padbury, Michael Williamson

Visitors:
Karen brought her niece up the tower today. We didn't have enough birds to
get her hooked into it, but she seemed intrigued and interested anyways.

Weather:
Very light Southerly winds throughout the day, with no clouds in slight.

Raptor Observations:
Reasonably slow but there were a few birds moving. A few decent groups of
Turkey Vultures went through between 11-12, and among them were two
Vultures with yellow wing-tags! A Northern Goshawk was observed early in
the morning on the far shore. 3 more Golden Eagles today, and a decent
flight of Red-shoulders and Red-tails.

Non-raptor Observations:
400 Cedar Waxwings and 116 American Goldfinch were counted migrating past.
There were also a good number of Rusty Blackbirds in the mixed blackbird
flocks this morning. For the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32425013 2 Monarchs were seen from
the tower today!

Predictions:
Moderate SW winds, with rain predicated to start in the late morning.
