The first year male King Eider was present today at 12:30 P.M. at the mouth of
the Humber River, as was the Red-necked Grebe, just up the river beside the
Lakeshore Road bridge. A Snowy Owl was present on the breakwall, and a Merlin
was seen well at Humber Bay Park East.
Directions. Humber Bay Park East is at the foot of Park Lawn Avenue in
Etobicoke. The King Eider and Red-necked Grebe can be seen by parking in the
paid parking lot of Marine Park Drive (runs east off the road that goes into
Humber Bay Park East) and walking east to the pedestrian bridge across the
Humber.
