The lark bunting was seen by me and some other birders between 10:30 and
11:30am. It spent some time perched on the wires connected to the tower, and
spent some time low in trees along the forest edge.
Some other bird observations throughout the island were:

The Lark Bunting was seen at 9:30 am and again at 2:30 pm. Off Art McGinn's
road at 550. It was back in four large trees on the right side of the tower,
east side of the road. It periodically dropped into the bushes and then back
into the second tree from the left.

The Lark Bunting was seen and heard in the same location by many observers this
morning. It was feeding close to and on the road but flew back more distant
when the crowd if cars and arrived.

The Lark Bunting previously reported on Amherst Island was refound this
morning by Lisa Teskey and viewed by a group of us. Photos taken.

Lark Bunting - Amherst Island
Observed June 26th 2-4 pm
Across from 550 Art McGinn Road. It was perching in the high grasses making
vertical assents and returning to the field or resting on the guide wires
of the radio tower.
* please be aware that the landowner does not want anyone entering
I haven't seen any reports from today, however, the young male Lark Bunting
was showing well at 11:20 am today. The bird was singing frequently from
the guy wires of the radio tower, on Art McGinn Road (address marker #550).

Today, Stu Williams and I made the trip from Durham Region to Amherst for
the Lark Bunting. What a beautiful, pastoral location !!! ... and a
great bird in/for Southern Ontario.
Got the Bunting upon the arrival at 2nd Concession and McGinn... it was on

Relocated Lark Bunting easily this morning singing loudly from tetelephone
line at corner 2nd con and McGinn road sing cardinal like five min then sits
quietly in field two min tthen repeats
