Good morning Ontbirders,

This morning at about 9:45 am there were two female Long-tailed Ducks on the
eastern-most pond at Andrew Haydon Park in Ottawa. They were diving together
in the middle of the pond. There was also a single female Green-winged Teal
near one of the footbridges along the southern shore of this pond.

On the grass by the western pond we found not one, but three Brant geese
feeding on the grass. They followed the Canada Geese into the water when a
dog-walker approached. We did not see any other unusual geese here or at
Ottawa Beach.

Directions (courtesy of NeilyWorld):

>From Highway 417 take exit 129 (Greenbank / Pinecrest Roads) and travel north
>to Carling Avenue. Turn left on Carling and go 2.0 km to the turnoff for the
>parking lot for Andrew Haydon Park on the right. Turn right into the lot.
