Yesterday Angela and I went to Bluffer's park in Scarborugh to see if we could find the Grebe. No luck on that but lots of ducks and gulls. If you yearn to see Buffleheads close-up this is the place. As well a pair of Redheads were diving around and providing great views. There were Scaup and Goldeneye.
In and amongst the Gulls were an juvenile Iceland and what we want to say is a Thayer's but is probably a dark-eyed Herring Gull. There was also a Juvenile Glaucous (judging by the size) feasting on a coffee cup. Good birding Bernie Monette Bluffer's park is located at the end of Brimley road. You can exit at the 401 (either east or west) and go south: stop at the lake however, Note: while you can exit the 401 at Brimley you cannot get on there. It is best to go back to Eglinton Ave. and take Kennedy or another road back to the 401. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
