Hi all. One of those sightings I'd almost sooner not post: Near the
northeast end of the Bowl at Col. Sam, well up in a twin cedar immediately
east of the main row of spruces, at 12:40 today, a fine male Western
Tanager, seen for perhaps 4 seconds while I scrambled to get my stuff into
place for the digiscoped record. The bird disappeared from view as I was
scrambling, and was not refound in more than an hour of subsequent watching
and waiting. I was alone. I almost wish I hadn't seen it! But I had.

Colonel Sam Smith Park is at the base of Kipling Avenue in Toronto. The Bowl
is just to the east of Kipling and the Humber College buildings, on the
south side of Lakeshore Blvd.
