7 birders braved the forecasted poor weather yesterday to look for birds at
the Leslie St Spit in Toronto. The weather ended up cooperating (no rain).
Although it was a little slow, we still managed a good mix of birds.
Highlights included an American Bittern, 2 Short-billed Dowitchers, nice
looks at an early Semipalmated Sandpiper, a Red-throated Loon and 2
cooperative Cape May Warblers.

Hopefully the weather will be a little better in September for the fall
Toronto Islands OFO trip.
